Good Samaritan Medical Center awarded a $15,000 grant to Clinica Family Health, a community health center that focuses on providing affordable health care to struggling community members.
According to a press release Tuesday, GSMC President Dawn J. Anuszkiewicz presented the grant to CFH last week. Across all eight clinics from CFH, more than 62,000 patients are given quality, affordable health care. The press release states that most CFH clients are low-income, uninsured, newly immigrated or otherwise underserved.
“We prioritize our charitable giving to align with community health priorities identified by members of our community. One of our priorities is improving access to health care services for everyone in our community,” Anuszkiewicz said in the press release.
The $15,000 grant will support CFH’s work to provide dental and mental health services to residents.
