Gorilla Waterproof Patch and Seal Spray New Product Review!

Today’s post is all about Gorilla Glue’s newest product, Gorilla Waterproof Patch and Seal Spray. This stuff is by far the easiest way I’ve tried to seal up exterior cracks and leaks, simply by spraying the product on. No messy brushes or applicators to clean or gunk up.

If you’ve hung out around my blog long enough, you know I’m a longtime fan of Gorilla Glue and their products. From guitar building to making fine cabinetry, their glue has been my go-to for years. When I had the chance to review their Waterproof Patch and Seal Spray, I definitely wanted to see what it could do. After all, I’m a no-fuss kind of guy and expect a product like this to work well, work easily, and not take forever to apply. Follow along to see how it works and what I ultimately thought of the product!

So first off, what is Gorilla Waterproof Patch and Seal Spray? It’s sold in 16 oz can and advertises that it’s a flexible, rubberized coating that:

-seals out water, air, and moisture on metal, concrete, wood, aluminum, brick, tile, fabric, glass, and more

-is used for gaps up to ¼”

-has a controlled spray pattern for a clean, even coat

-has a self-leveling formula to smoothly cover small gaps and cracks

-is paintable and temperature/UV resistant

To test drive this spray, I grabbed a cracked plastic bucket I had in the shop to see how well it would seal up the crack. After cleaning the surface of any dust or moisture, I shook the can for about 30 seconds and then sprayed an even coat (staying about 8”-12” from the surface) to cover the crack.

Once that coat was cured, I checked the coverage to see if additional coats were needed, but this stuff had completely sealed the crack after only one application! I set it aside to cure fully for 24 hours, then decided to put it to the ultimate test by filling it full of water and letting it sit for a week in the shop.

What happened after that week? It was still full of water (well, minus a little for evaporation) with no leaks at all! The product looks exactly as it had after application, no peeling or offering to loosen around the edges.

So what do I think? This will absolutely be my new go-to product for patching small holes and cracks on exterior projects! I love how easy it was to use by simply spraying the product in place. I used a competitor’s product at our old house several years ago to repair an exterior window leak, and it required brushing it on. It was far messier and ended up looking terrible compared to how this Gorilla Waterproof Patch and Seal Spray looks when it’s cured. It flowed evenly, leveled out nicely once dried, and I love that it can be painted as well. All in all, another home run for the Gorilla brand!
