Hale County couple says it's a miracle they survived tornado

HALE COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — The Hale County Emergency Management Agency reports that over 30 homes were damaged and eight were completely destroyed by a tornado that tore through the area early Sunday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, the tornado was classified as an EF-1 and left a 15-mile path of destruction in its wake.
