A PET owner has shared the Amazon buy that helps with the litter and household smell.
An additional tip to keep wild pet bathroom scents under control, she added, was the right litter choice.
Redditor Tara-fied shared their pet advice in a post.
She explained that due to her family member’s health problems, she ended up temporarily responsible for more animals than she’d bargained for.
“My husband and I had my father and sister both move in with us due to their health issues so we combined three households into one,” she explained.
“We have 4 dogs and 6 cats.”
To keep their home smelling as fresh as humanly possible, she relied on lots of vacuuming and air purifiers.
She revealed that an Amazon buy did the most to keep her household air clean.
“We bought Mila air purifiers, and use the critter cuddler filters, they have helped tremendously,” she wrote.
“They are expensive but I’d done a fair bit of homework about air purifiers that would help with urine smell (we had a senior cat at the time who peed on couches).”
Upon doing her research, she explained that she’d settled on Mila air purifiers due to their built-in pet-friendly functions.
“I looked at the specs specifically for the critter cuddler filters and ammonia,” she said.
“Versus some other options on the market.”
She added that Mila brand air purifiers weren’t the only option on the market.
“Not implying Mila air purifiers are the only way to go, there are many great options out there that are way less expensive,” she said.
To keep their home spotless, they also invested in automatic vacuums.
“Robot vacuums are a big help too,” she said.
“Both of these options are expensive but can be added in slowly, we asked for gift cards toward them as birthday and Christmas gifts.”
The pet expert added that the right litter choice also changed the game.
“Lastly, the other thing that has made a huge difference for us is switching most of the litters to hardwood litter (available at hardware stores) with sifting litter bins,” she said.
Tara opted for Exquisicat litter boxes that she picked up at Petsmart.
