Former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive tackle, and current New York Jet, Quinnen Williams had his best NFL season at the perfect time.
Last fall for Gang Green he started in 16 of 17 games, amassing 55 total tackles with 12 for a loss, including 12 sacks and 28 quarterback hits. Additionally he forced two fumbles and recovered another on his way to being named to the first First Team All-Pro selection of his career.
Williams is now entering the final year of his rookie contract after the Jets picked up his fifth-year option last summer. However, it’s important to Williams, and the Jets, to get a contract extension agreed upon before the upcoming season begins.
