Lawrence Co., IL K-9 Unit Producing Results

Since bringing the K-9 unit back to Lawrence County, Illinois in March of this year, Deputy Daegan York and K-9 Lucian have been responsible for and assisted Lawrenceville, Bridgeport, and Sumner Police Departments in 70 felony arrests.

Sherif Trenton Masterson says that as a team they have taken over 543 grams of methamphetamine off the streets of Lawrence County, along with other controlled substances like cocaine.

They have also been responsible for seizing 47 items of drug paraphernalia and 3 illegal firearms.

Masterson commended Deputy York and K-9 Lucian for their continued dedication to making Lawrence County a safer place to live.
