The Georgia Bulldogs have a tough remaining schedule after a fairly easy opening to the season. Georgia is 7-0 entering its bye week ahead of the Florida game.
The Bulldogs’ toughest stretch of the season is coming up, and Georgia will have to do it without star tight end Brock Bowers.
Georgia faces four straight SEC opponents before playing at Georgia Tech to cap off the regular season. Three of Georgia’s next four opponents are ranked. Fortunately, Georgia has to play on the road just twice in its last five games.
Let’s take a look at where Georgia’s five remaining opponents stand in the USA TODAY Sports NCAA Re-Rank:
Oct. 28: Florida Gators (Jacksonville)

Ranking: No. 33
Georgia and Florida both have bye weeks entering the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Georgia (7-0) faces a Florida (5-2) team that is coming off a comeback, 41-39, win on the road at South Carolina.
Nov. 4: Missouri Tigers (home)

Ranking: No. 22
The Georgia-Missouri game could decide who wins the SEC East. Missouri’s only loss of the season came to the LSU Tigers. Missouri gave Georgia a lot of trouble last season and has an improved passing game under quarterback Brady Cook.
Nov. 11: Ole Miss Rebels (home)

Ranking: No. 20
There’s a shot that Ole Miss enters the Georgia game with an 8-1 record. The Rebels’ lone loss of the season came at Alabama. Ole Miss has big wins over LSU, Tulane and Arkansas.
Nov. 18: at Tennessee Volunteers (away)

Ranking: No. 14
A road trip to Tennessee is probably Georgia’s toughest remaining test. The Bulldogs looked poised on the road at Auburn several weeks ago, but will likely have to play at Tennessee without star tight end Brock Bowers.
Nov. 25: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (away)

Ranking: No. 47
Georgia Tech’s season has been very up-and-down. The Yellow Jackets have a shocking loss to Bowling Green, but the 3-3 Yellow Jackets managed to stage a miracle comeback at Miami in Week 6.
Potential SEC championship opponent: LSU

The Daily Advertiser
Ranking: No. 28
This ranking seems low for LSU. The Tigers and star quarterback Jayden Daniels have played a difficult schedule including games against Missouri, Ole Miss and Florida State. The Tigers have just one SEC loss. LSU’s season will likely come down to if the Tigers can win on the road at Alabama on Nov. 4.
Potential SEC championship opponent: Alabama

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
Ranking: No. 12
The Alabama Crimson Tide are undefeated in SEC play. Alabama is coming off a narrow win over Arkansas and faces a challenge against Tennessee in Week 8. Quarterback Jalen Milroe and Alabama’s two toughest remaining games come at home against LSU and Tennessee.
Alabama (plus-195) has the second-best odds to win the SEC behind Georgia (per FanDuel).
Georgia (-150) has the SEC’s best odds to win the conference.
