

(WHNT) — One member of the Crimson Tide and one of the SEC Champion Auburn Tigers have been named All-Americans by the Associated Press.
Muscle Shoals native Mark Sears was named to the 2024 Associated Press All-America Second Team, while Auburn’s Johni Broome was chosen for the AP All-America Third Team.
Sears’s win makes it the second straight year an Alabama player earned AP All-America honors joining Brandon Miller, who was chosen for the AP All-America First Team in 2023. He also becomes the third UA player to be named to an All-America team under head coach Nate Oats alongside Miller and Herb Jones, who was honored in 2021.
Sears tied Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht for first in the SEC in scoring, averaging 21.1 points per game.
He also ranked sixth in field goal percentage (50.6) and sixth in assists (4.1 per game) during the regular season. He scored 20 or more points…
