One person dead in Terryville fire

Three agencies are investigating after one person was found dead at the scene of a house fire in Terryville on Sunday.

The Plymouth Police Department said first responders found the unidentified victim after responding to reports of a structure fire at 110 Minor Road in Terryville shortly after 11 a.m. Monday

The department said the scene was “immediately secured while members from Terryville, Thomaston and Harwinton Fire Departments worked to extinguish the fire.”

Plymouth police said their department, the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosives Unit, and the Connecticut State’s Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident. The person was not identified.

Police said the fire is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat or danger to the public.
