State police are investigating after a reported officer-involved shooting in Killingly.
State police said they responded to an area on the Hartford Turnpike for a suspicious incident around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived, they attempted to speak to a suspect in the area when shots were reportedly fired.
Life Star was requested to transfer a patient to nearby Day Kimball hospital in Putnam, but the request was canceled due to inclement weather.
State police said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
