Preston Automotive adds body shop in Dover

Preston Automotive Group expanded its body shop footprint by acquiring Shift Collision, Dover. The shop will now be known as Preston Auto Body of Dover.

Preston Auto Body of Dover will relocate to a new facility during the transition. A specific timeline for this move has not yet been established.

The expanded Preston Auto Body of Dover will offer a comprehensive range of services, from minor dent repairs to major collision restorations.

Automotive groups like Preston have been adding body shops as well as dealerships.

Founded in 1975, Preston Automotive Group has  16 dealership locations and 20 brands in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. The automotive group, named after the town where it was founded,  has a Chrysler-Jeep-Ram dealership in Smyrna, a Kent County town north of Dover.

The company is building a new Ford dealership in Millsboro and expanded to the north by acquiring the former Brandywine Chrysler-Jeep-Ram dealership.
