The public is invited to attend storytelling events this month put on by local nonprofit Recovery Café Longmont.
The events are the culmination of the café’s limited series workshop “The Power of Storytelling,” which launched earlier this year. The stories will be presented by people who have spent months refining their personal journeys of recovery from addiction and mental health challenges.
Stories will be told to guests this Friday and Sept. 29 at the café, 402 Kimbark St., from 5 to 6 p.m. On both days, refreshments will be served before the presentations from 4 to 5 p.m., and pizza will be served afterward from 6 to 7 p.m.
