Here’s a submission I did for a SLC Motion Meetup. The theme for all entries was Sweet and the animation couldn’t be any longer than 5 seconds.
I hadn’t ever done stop motion before, but I’ve always been fascinated by it. I thought it would be a great idea to try it… and use wood too. About a quarter of the way through I realized I had made a horrible decision, but I decided I was still going to do it—and I couldn’t be happier. I enjoyed every step of the process—storyboarding, pre-visualization, wood working, animation, rotoscoping, and even foley. It was definitely a labor of love.
