HONOLULU — The University of Hawai’I swimming and diving teams continue the fall schedule at the SMU Invite in Dallas, Texas. The meet, which will also feature Drury, Yale and host SMU, opens Wednesday and runs through Saturday at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center.
 
Competition begins with long-course events at 1 p.m. Hawai’i time on Wednesday. The schedule on Thursday to Saturday will have preliminaries starting at 6 a.m., diving at 9 a.m., and finals at 2 p.m.

The Rainbow Wahine and Rainbow Warriors opened the season at the USC Invitational on Oct. 13 and 14 in Los Angeles. UH junior Milan Bukovics earned the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Male Athlete of the Week honor after winning the 400 Individual Medley with a personal best 3 minutes, 50.69 seconds. His time was the third best in program history and is the fastest in the MPSF this season. He also leads the conference in the 200 fly with a time of 1:47.44.
 
Sophomore Mario Surkovic tops the MPSF in the 50 free (20.18) and 200 IM (1:47.62) and helped the Warriors win the 200 free relay at the USC Invitational.
 
On the women’s side, graduate transfer Mira Selling holds the MPSF’s top time in the 200 free (1:49.13) and junior Mandolin Nguyen leads the conference in the 200 breaststroke (2:12.70).
 
Isabelle Lombardi’s score of 264.65 is the MPSF’s best in the 1-meter. Senior Elma Lund won the women’s 3-meter and senior Mackaby Pennington won the men’s 1-meter at the USC meet.
