A completely original library, referred to as the “Skybrary” by owner and author Elizabeth Gilbert. The glossy black attic floors of her eighteenth century Italianate home appears as water or a dark sky, reflecting China white, vine like, whimsical, Dr Seuss / Gaudi inspired bookshelves. Almost three years has created 1/5 of a mile of hand carved shelves which morphs into cabinetry, back into shelves, transforms to a daybed, back to shelves, shapeshifting into… well, more later.
