Jennie Alexander was a furniture maker based in Baltimore. Coining the term ‘green woodworking’, Jennie published various papers and wrote several books including her most famous, Make a Chair from a Tree: An Introduction to Working Green Wood, first published in 1978 published under her previous name John Alexander.
