21-year-old man pulled from Lake Michigan in Chicago has died

A 21-year-old man who was pulled from Lake Michigan along the Gold Coast Friday night has died, fire officials said.

The man was found at approximately 8:40 p.m. near the 1600 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

After emergency responders administered CPR, the man was transferred to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

No further information was available at this time, Chicago police said.
