Four people were wounded, one fatally, in a shooting Monday night in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 6100 block of South Justine Street and found four victims in an alley with gunshot wounds, police said.
A 35-year-old man suffered two wounds to the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 60-year-old woman also was shot in the head, and taken in critical condition to Holy Cross Hospital. A 52-year-old woman suffered a wound to the right thigh, and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital.
The fourth victim, a 64-year-old man, suffered a wound to the right arm, and was taaken iin good condition to UChicago Medicine, police said.
Witnesses at the scene told police they saw a gunman open fire at the mouth of the alley before fleeing the scene.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
