Boulder on Thursday announced two finalists in its search for a director of transportation and mobility.

The director will be tasked with transportation innovation and integrating new technology and mobility options into the city, according to a news release. The director will lead a team of 75 employees, manage a budget of more than $40 million and oversee the city’s municipal mobility system, according to a job posting.

Finalists are Josh Diekmann and Amy Ford. Diekmann is a city traffic engineer and assistant manager of the engineering divisions for Tacoma, Wash. Ford is the director of the Mobility on Demand Alliance for Intelligent Transportation Society of America.

They will make presentations about their vision for Boulder’s transportation and mobility future, and recordings of the presentations will be posted Monday at bouldercolorado.gov/transportation. The finalists also will be available for a community meet and greet from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Municipal Building, 1777 Broadway.
