Residents will get the chance to learn more about their city council candidates next week during a bilingual forum.

The forum will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at The Family Learning Center, 3164 34th St. in Boulder.

A translator will be available during the forum in an effort to create a welcoming community for all of Boulder’s residents, organizers said. Rich Lopez, former Boulder councilman, will moderate.

Forum organizers encouraged people to come to the event and share their opinions. In addition, dinner and child care will be provided. People also can register to vote at the event.

Those interested in submitting questions for candidates can do so in advance by visiting naacpbouldercounty.org and clicking the Contact Us form.

The event will be livestreamed. For details, visit the Boulder County NAACP’s Facebook page.
