Boulder police are searching for a 42-year-old man who is believed to be suicidal and have asked the public to call 911 if he is spotted, according to a Boulder Police Department social media post Tuesday afternoon.

According to Shannon Aulabaugh, a public information officer for the Boulder Police Department, police were called to 19th Street and Yarmouth Avenue for a disturbance that was reported at 2:38 p.m..

By the time police arrived, the man was not there. Aulabaugh said the man is not believed to be armed or dangerous, but as a precaution those who see him are asked to contact police and not approach him.

He is believed to be traveling on foot or driving a 2002 Gold Toyota RAV4. Aulabaugh said the man is described as roughly 6 feet tall and 250 pounds. She said police are not releasing his name, because the call involves emergency health.
