The birth name of Calvin Harris is Adam Richard Wiles. He was born January 17, 1984. He is both a songwriter and a movie producer. He is the owner of Fly Eye Records. His first album was released in 2007 and featured several top 10 singles. His second album was released in 2010 and it also did very well.
Harris writes songs for other artists as well. Some of the artists who have been very successful with his writing including Kylie Minogue and Rhianna. He is very selective about who he will write music for. In fact, he has a complete list of people that he won’t write for or that aren’t allowed to listen to his demos.
Harris had difficulties while on tour with Katie Perry. There were too many changes and not enough things where they should have been for his liking. He dropped out of the shows saying if things were going to look like crap, he would sound like crap, and if that were the case it was best if he didn’t perform at all.
Harris is good friends with Chris Brown, but that hasn’t always been the case. In fact, Harris was once very upset that one of Brown’s songs sounded too similar to one of his. The two had heated discussions about it and then later became very close.
He stated in 2010 that he was done being the front man. He was going to focus his time and attention on writing and producing for others. However, it seems that he has changed his mind and that he has been working on his own materials for quite some time.
Calvin Harris released an album in March of 2014 that has done very well. He plans a very large tour and it is expected that he will have sold out crowds at some of the best venues. He was banned from the show X Factor when he went on stage while someone was performing. He had a pineapple balanced on his head. While the crowd laughed, the performer and the judges weren’t thrilled by it.
Since 2013, he has been dating Rita Ora. He is 7 years older than her but neither seems to mind. She is busy with her modeling, singing, and acting. It is rumored that she may go on tour with him for summer of 2014.
