Child shot in Portage Park, Chicago officials say – NBC Chicago

A child is in critical condition after they were shot in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood Saturday.

According to authorities, the 8-year-old and another adult were both shot near the intersection of Addison and Long Saturday evening.

Both were taken to area hospitals in critical condition.
