Public invited to meet and greet Monday, July 22

The City of Boulder today announced that two finalists have been selected in the search for a Transportation & Mobility director in the Public Works Department.

“Boulder has a long history of innovation in transportation,” said City Manager Jane Brautigam. “We’re looking for a director who can build on that innovative work and create a vision for where we need to go in the future. As new technologies come online, planning for a new era of mobility options while also maintaining our current transportation system will be essential for Boulder.”

As part of the selection process, the two finalists will present their vision for Boulder’s transportation and mobility future. Each presentation will be recorded and made available at www.bouldercolorado.gov/transportation by late afternoon July 22, prior to a community meet and greet with the candidates from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Municipal Building lobby (1777 Broadway).

Finalists for the Transportation & Mobility director are:

  • Josh Diekmann, currently City Traffic Engineer and Assistant Manager of the Engineering Division for the City of Tacoma, WA
  • Amy Ford, currently the Director of the Mobility on Demand Alliance for Intelligent Transportation Society of America.

More information on the candidates’ backgrounds can be found at www.bouldercolorado.gov/transportation.
