The City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting proposals from organizations that have an interest in offering programming and leasing the Pottery Lab facility located at 1010 Aurora Ave. in Boulder.
Community groups and organizations are eligible to submit a Request for Proposal for this competitive opportunity through BidNet. Criteria to consider include:
- Demonstrated experience in the operations and management of a financially sustainable community arts facility. Relevant ceramics experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience providing successful arts-based instruction and programming based on register participation in a ‘fee for service’ business model.
- Willingness to partner and network with other organizations.
Applications must be submitted electronically through the BidNet system and received by 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019. Interested parties can access the BidNet application link at https://bouldercolorado.gov/parks-rec/pottery or through the City of Boulder Purchasing Division at https://bouldercolorado.gov/purchasing.
This public-private programming opportunity for the management and operations of the Pottery Lab first was explored in 2014 at which time the city awarded Studio Arts Boulder the bid. This lease and its extensions will expire at the end of the calendar year. Contractor selection is expected before year-end.
