Voters can meet and share views with more than a dozen of the Democrats running for federal, state legislative and Boulder County government seats up for election next year during an event at North Boulder Park tonight.
The 6 to 8 p.m. gathering at the park at Ninth Street and Dellwood Avenue is being organized by Judy Amabile, one of the Democrats seeking to succeed House Speaker KC Becker in the Legislature’s House District 13. Lisa Smith, another candidate for the District 13 seat, is expected to attend, Amabile said.

Others scheduled to participate are at least eight of the Democratic candidates vying to be their party’s nominee in next year’s U.S. Senate contest, as well as some of the thus-far-announced Democratic candidates for the Colorado House District 10, Colorado Senate District 18, two Boulder County commissioners’ seats and the Boulder County district attorney’s office that are up for election in 2020, Amabile said.
