Boulder police have arrested the driver involved in a Sept. 20 crash on Folsom Street that left a bicyclist with severe injuries.
In a statement, Boulder police stated that they arrested Jennifer LeMaire, 45, for careless driving resulting in bodily injury of a vulnerable road user.
Near 12:30 p.m. Sept. 20, LeMaire was driving a 2016 Land Rover SUV southbound on Folsom Street near Bluff Street when, according to Boulder police Sgt. Jim Macpherson, she “failed to negotiate the curve” and crossed over into the northbound lanes, colliding with the cyclist. According to the release, the cyclist was “most likely in the bike lane.”
The cyclist was then taken to Boulder Community Health’s Foothills hospital with a head injury and two fractured legs, where he subsequently was flown to Denver Health.
