A drunken driver was so intoxicated that he apparently had forgotten his baby was inside a truck with him when troopers pulled him over, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials.On Sept. 6, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers pulled over a suspected drunken driver on the Muskogee Turnpike near Broken Arrow after they received a report of an erratic driver. During the traffic stop, a trooper saw that a baby and a dog were in the back seat of the pickup truck.”He was so intoxicated, he did not know he had his baby in the back seat of his truck,” Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said.When one of the troopers said a baby was in the vehicle, the man can be heard in the video saying, “Baby? What baby?” One of the troopers then comforted the baby and called for an ambulance to make sure the child was OK, officials said.The troopers took the man into custody and placed him in the back seat of a patrol vehicle. While in custody, Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said the man kicked the vehicle’s windshield, cracking it.The baby was safely reunited with their mother, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials.The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and other counts. His identity has not been released.
