Easterseals opens day program in Smyrna

A ribbon-cutting was held for the new Easterseals day program in Smyrna.

Kevin Hensley, Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities Director Melissa Smith, Smyrna Town Manager Sheldon Hudson, Smyrna Councilwoman Tabitha Gott, Jennifer Sutter from Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, Bill Willis, and Easterseals board members Joseph Guariano and Mary Jane Willis.

“At Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore, we are constantly looking for ways we can evolve to meet the growing needs of the community,” Easterseals CEO, Kenan Sklenar, said. “We recognized a gap for seniors in Kent County and knew we could meet their needs through an additional day program in Smyrna.”

Smyrna is in a fast-growing area in northern Kent and southern New Castle County.
