EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
We are proud to honor veterans this month and we recently learned about a Sugar City native named Nyle Garn who has lived a fulfilled life. Nyle served in the US Army from 1958-1960 and was then recalled from 1961-1962. He returned to eastern Idaho and he and his wife went on to have six kids, 31 grandkids and 38 great-grandchildren.
Nyle is now on hospice and we wanted to thank him for all he’s done with the help of the musical group GENTRI. We arranged a surprise with his family but Nyle had no idea we were about to show up and leave him with a special song and some gifts. Watch the video in the player above!
