The following is a news release from the city of Idaho Falls.

IDAHO FALLS — The Idaho Falls Zoo will host winter break camps for kids between the ages of five and 13. These unique, one-day camps provide fun, interactive activities and up-close learning with animals at your Idaho Falls Zoo.

“While the zoo is closed to the general public for the season, these camps provide a great opportunity for our young wildlife enthusiasts to get a hands-on experience learning about the creatures that make up our zoo family,” said Idaho Falls Zoo Director David Pennock. “We look forward to having these campers come and experience the best little zoo in the West.”

The camps are listed below:

Creature Feature (Ages 5-7) On Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., young naturalists will embark on a journey to uncover the incredible adaptations that animals possess.
