In years past, dozens of San Bernardino County’s savviest artists have needed only sidewalk chalk and 6-foot squares of concrete to create works of art.

This weekend was no different.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, Omnitrans hosted its fourth annual Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest at the San Bernardino Transit Center. And, as they have every fall since 2016, creative minds used a tool commonly wielded by children to bring original ideas to life.
Called Unity in the Community, this year’s art contest was held at the same location as Untapped Hip Hop’s Street Glyphics Art Competition.
More than 30 contestants were judged by members of the San Bernardino Art Commission and The Arts Council of San Bernardino County. Omnitrans handed out cash prizes to the top three artists.
