Indoor pickleball courts open in Orange

ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — Looking for a new pickleball court? Orange has a new option.

The Pickle Spot celebrated its ribbon cutting Friday on Boston Post Road.

Its owner said that it’s a sport for everyone.

“All ages like to take part in playing pickle, and there’s a real easy entry, as opposed to teams, and the age trajectory has really blown wide open from grandparents down to their grandkids, and it’s a lot of fun and very social and very popular,” said JoAnn Scillia, who owns The Pickle Spot.

A grand opening celebration will be from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The event will include free pickleball.
