The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the Louisville Chambers of Commerce have joined the Northwest Chamber Alliance, a coalition of chambers of commerce from across Boulder and Broomfield counties, according to a news release.

The alliance, which was formed in 2016, focuses on regional issues that impact economic vitality and quality of life throughout the region, and coordinates efforts on behalf of businesses in their respective communities, according to the release. Other alliance members include the Boulder Chamber, Latino Chamber, Broomfield Chamber of Commerce, Superior Chamber of Commerce and Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce.

The expansion will grow the coalition to collectively represent approximately 3,600 businesses and 137,000 employees throughout the region, according to the release.

“The Louisville Chamber is excited to be joining the Northwest Chamber Alliance. It is important we come together as a regional coalition to represent our businesses in addressing the issues that affect us all,” Shelley Angell, executive director of the Louisville Chamber of Commerce said in a statement.

Vicki Trumbo, executive director of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, in a statement said, “Our communities face issues that are regional and any opportunity we have to work together makes us all stronger. We love the collaborative dynamic and look forward having a positive impact on the issues that affect us all.”
