A major crash involving at least two cars closed a section of Ken Pratt Boulevard near South Hover Street on Sunday evening, shutting down all westbound traffic.
A gray car with a caved-in roof and flipped onto its side rested in the right lane of westbound Ken Pratt Boulevard. Within 100 feet southwest, a black Dodge Ram pickup with a severely damaged driver’s side door faced the road while stopped on the road verge.
Longmont police estimate Ken Pratt will be reopened after midnight, according to a 9 p.m. update to their Facebook alert.
Police advised drivers heading to Boulder to avoid the area and take Main Street south to Highway 52, where they can then travel west.
Longmont police were not immediately available for comment.
