Man dies in car accident overnight on Northwest Side, police say

A man was pronounced dead after a vehicle accident overnight in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 2 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle accident in the 4500 block of North Fullerton Avenue and found a Silver SUV struck several poles before coming to a stop.

The driver believed to be 39-years-old, suffered trauma to the body, and was taken to Norwegian Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other injuries were reported, and detectives were investigating.
