A man is in custody after a standoff with Daytona Beach police Saturday.Officers were called to the Ocean Breeze Hotel at 640 N. Atlantic Avenue for a barricaded subject. According to officials, David Allen, of Atlantic City, was holding a grenade and threatening to blow himself up.Authorities later were able to confirm the grenade was hollowed out and not a real threat thanks to the use of a drone.Officials said Allen was talking a lot with authorities and seemed to be making delusional and irrational comments.Authorities are not sure why he barricaded himself inside the room.Before arriving, officials were told a woman was heard screaming inside the room, but there was no sign of anyone else inside except for Allen. Officials were able to lure Allen out with a jacket that he requested be left out in the hallway at the hotel.When Allen came out to retrieve the jacket, authorities were able to place him under arrest.Daytona Beach police said Allen faces at least a charge of making a bomb threat.
