CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago actor Mike Nussbaum has died at age 99. He had a prolific stage career and roles in films including “Field of Dreams” and “Men in Black.” His daughter says he died at his home on Saturday of old age. He was just days shy of his 100th birthday. Nussbaum was acknowledged by the Actor’s Equity Association union multiple times in the past several years as the oldest professional actor in the country. When asked about his status as a working nonagenarian over the years, he said he simply enjoyed the work. A public memorial service is planned for next year.
