COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Hawai’i football team’s 2024 conference matchups are set after the Mountain West announced Thursday home and away opponents for next season.
 
The Warriors will host Boise State, Nevada, New Mexico and UNLV at the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex while travelling to take on Fresno State, San Diego State, Utah State and Washington State. The game against the Cougars will not count towards the conference standings and is a part of a scheduling agreement between the Mountain West and Oregon State and Washington State.
 
Dates and kickoff times for these matchups will be released at a later date.

Schedule Notes

  • Hawai’i will play Washington State in Pullman for the first time ever. The Warriors have faced the Cougars five times overall, with four coming in Honolulu and one in Seattle in 2009.
  • The Warriors are 3-2 all-time vs. Washington State, winning matchups in 1926, 2008 and 2009 while the Cougars took the meetings in 1930 and 1999.
  • UH will play Fresno State after the two teams did not meet in 2023, snapping a streak of 31 consecutive years played.
  • Hawai’i and San Diego State will play each other for the 13th consecutive year.
  • UH and UNLV will meet for the 16th straight season when the two teams play for the Island Showdown Trophy.
  • The Warriors will take on Nevada for the 24th consecutive season.
  • UH will host Boise State for the first time since 2020 when no fans were allowed due to COVID. The last time the teams met in Honolulu prior to that was 2016.
