Stanley Quick, Jr. – Storm Lake Times Pilot

Stanley Carlton Quick, Jr., 89, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at Wesley on Grand in Des Moines after a life well-lived on Tuesday Dec. 12, 2023.

Stan grew up in Stratford, where he met his wife Stephanie in the first grade. He attended Simpson College and was a proud ATO; he completed his dental degree at the University of Iowa and was a lifelong Hawkeye fan. After two years with the U.S. Navy in southern California, Dr. Quick established his dental practice in Storm Lake. Stan was proud of this community and the home he made there.

He was a wonderful spirit, kind and gentle, who continuously showed genuine interest in others, their lives and their families. He seemed to always find connections between people, places and experiences. His optimism throughout recent challenges inspires many, and his laugh could make anyone smile.
