A South Carolina police officer saved an infant from choking Sunday afternoon.(Watch body camera video of the incident above.)Cpl. Derrall Foster was the first to arrive at the home after the child’s mother, Kiersten Nivens, called 911. The infant was choking on some medicine Nivens had given her to help with pain from teething, police said. Foster immediately turned the baby over and patted the child’s back to try and dislodge the medicine and open the baby’s airway. After a couple of pats, the four month old began to breathe again. EMS arrived and took the baby to a hospital for evaluation.
