The ‘Meyers’ king bed is a redesign of our original king platform bed with “winged” floating nightstands and a modified footboard design, using reclaimed materials throughout. We milled and joined each piece, very purposefully placing each component where we felt would be most aesthetically pleasing. Each crack and knot no matter how small is filled with a clear epoxy to give the wood a smooth feel and to be more structurally durable, being preventative against further cracking or wood movement over time. The overall design is also smaller, providing a more modern, sleeker look. We implemented custom fitted slats for added support and to allow the mattress airflow/breathability.
We use 100% recycled redwood decking and fir flooring from Lake Tahoe and other parts of Northern California.
