My first time turning on a lathe. One of the most exciting experiences so far this year. Spent all Friday (!) night doing it. Also makes for some beautiful footage.
The assignment was to practice turning maple, by making two pieces that fit together. The piece you see in the video is definitely my weaker one of the night, but it’s no big deal. 30 mins of work condensed into 2 min!
