Shannon Jr. Named to NABC Player of the Year Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo.– The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Thursday the preseason watch list for the 2024 NABC Division I Player of the Year award. 

There are 20 players on this year’s NABC watch list, highlighted by Fighting Illini senior Terrence Shannon Jr. He is one of just four Big Ten players selected for preseason distinction.

This is the latest honor for Shannon, who was a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team, is on the watch list for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award, and is a Preseason All-American by FOX Sports, CBS Sports and Blue Ribbon.
