Side Street Projects operates out of a vacant lot between an abandoned Victorian mansion and a Church’s Fried Chicken. It’s an artist-run nonprofit, so naturally the organization found a creative way to solve the “affordable space” problem: they created a completely mobile, self-sustaining headquarters– including travel trailers, two woodworking buses, and a converted FEMA trailer they use as a vertical garden.
