Solenis acquires liquid chemical pack maker

 Solenis, a global producer of specialty chemicals headquartered near Wilmington, has acquired Aqua ChemPacs, LLC, for an undisclosed sum.

Headquartered in Huntingdon Valley, PA, Aqua ChemPacs is a manufacturer of pre-portioned, concentrated liquid chemical packs that utilize earth-friendly packaging.

The company’s ChemPacs dissolve in water, making them useful in restaurants, retail stores, healthcare and educational facilities, arenas, and event venues. Thus, customers can produce a variety of high-quality cleaning and disinfection products on-site, a release stated.

ChemPacs provide precise portion control, require no mixing, and help eliminate the risks associated with pouring chemicals from bottles. In addition, ChemPac products are concentrated and weigh less than traditional ready-made cleaners and disinfectants, thereby lowering shipping costs, the release noted.

Several ChemPac products have also earned Green Seal Certification for sustainability and production processes.
