Suspect arrested in shooting at Black Lab Sports

Yesterday afternoon, October 16, 2019 at approximately 2:24 p.m., police responded to Black Lab Sports, 3550 Frontier Avenue on the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they discovered a woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her arm.  She was transported to Boulder Community Health. 

A suspect, Justin Bannan, DOB 04/18/79 was arrested at the scene and is currently at the Boulder County Jail.  He is charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder, First Degree Assault (Extreme Indifference), First Degree Assault (Intent to Cause Serious Bodily Injury) and First-Degree Burglary. 

Police believe the shooting was random. The suspect and victim worked in the same building and were distantly acquainted.

The case number is 19-12368.
