The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating what it described as a “suspicious situation” Tuesday afternoon in downtown Las Vegas.

The department said in an email that the incident occurred in the 500 block of Casino Center Boulevard at 1:01 p.m.

Police said LVMPD Dispatch received several reports that gunfire was heard inside a business.

Arriving officers were unable to find a victim or a scene, police said.
