When he began his career, Tom Davis was the 50th member of a national guild of guitar makers, today there are tens of thousands. When he started building guitars, he was struggling to sell them because they weren’t name brand instruments. Now, manufactures are building and imitating the process of individual builders like Tom. His favorite part of the process? Seeing the smile on a happy customers face when they come to pick up their guitar and play it for the first time.
