Week in Review: NASCAR Chicago Street Race; Supreme Court Rulings | C...

NASCAR fans have started their excitement as the street race is finally here. The race, however, is adding to massive holiday traffic headaches. The city expects a $113 million windfall, but residents are worried about noise, traffic, holiday violence and poor air quality.

President Joe Biden reacts to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning affirmative action in college admissions, the court’s rejection of his student loan relief plan and the decision to allow discrimination against LGBTQ+ folks based on religion.

Meanwhile, Biden taps April Perry as his pick for Chicago’s U.S. attorney. Perry would be the first woman to be Chicago’s top federal prosecutor.

And in sports, the Blackhawks select 17-year-old phenom Connor Bedard as the NHL’s No. 1 draft pick.
